The kitchen is the heart of a home where now everyone wants to be a part of the action. For this kitchen remodel we opened up the wall for a pass through counter with stools from the kitchen to the great room, added larger windows for more natural light, and sliding french doors for easy passage with groceries or platters of food. Gutted to the studs, new wood floors were used to warm up and bridge the brick entry floor on one side of kitchen to blue stone floors of the family room on the other side.
Strategically located Stainless steel appliances and carefully planned custom cabinetry makes cooking in this kitchen flow seamlessly. The under cabinet lighting casts a warm light over the backsplash that has accents of the stainless steal and the quartz countertop that has an almost “diamond plate” effect. Vintage pendant lights were hung over the new cooking surface that has a downdraft venting system. The colors of walls and cabinets are coordinating soft grays with ocean blue green direction.
